The fifth of the Goddess Collection.
Athena, in Ancient Greece, was worshipped as the goddess of wisdom and war. She was revered for her wit and her strategical talents in combat (as opposed to Ares and his carnage). Born from Zeus' mind, she sprang out fully armoured. Initially a minor goddess, her importance grew as she took on the domains of peace and handicrafts (such as weaving).
I chose Teal Moss Kyanite and Raw Amethyst to encapsulate my image of her and what she would wear. Both crystals are excellent for mental clarity and wisdom. Athena was also known as the goddess of the flashing eyes, so the rose cut of the kyanite and the amethyst's raw face catch the light just like her epithet. The beaded and twisted wire also represent her patronage over the crafts.
Comes with a curb chain, and her name is stamped on the back. Designed to be worn long at 60cm in length.
