The third of the Goddess Collection.
Hestia, in Ancient Greece, was worshipped as the goddess of the hearth (also translated to fireside). She had domain over the home, family, extending to the collective society, and sacred or sacrificial fire. Custom required that Hestia received the first offering at every sacrifice.
I chose Hessonite Garnet and Mexican fire opal to encapsulate my image of her and what she would wear. These two crystals are reminiscent of the warm glow of a fire, and its symbolism in Ancient Greece as a life force. They are also both related to the heart chakra.
Silver flames have been carefully sawn out to surround the fire opal, while the hessonite garnet is decorated in granule detail. Comes with a paperclip chain, and her name is stamped on the back. Designed to be worn long at 60cm in length.
